I'm losing my hair looking for this on MP3!  I think I'm going to go ahead and buy the vinyl but, geez, I wanted to download it to my computer so I could listen to it while I'm, uh, computing.  It's no fair.  I know I'll treasure the vinyl, but I don't know the first thing about digitizing vinyl and I don't know if my turntable has those capabilities.  I guess I could digitize it when I'm out of town at my folks.

I'm trying to do the right thing here.  It's no fair.

Just a quick note........assuming BMC is not available on itunes, you could of course save the CD to windows media player which will convert it to mp3 format. You can then copy and paste and  just send it via usb to your mp3 or ipod player.

The state of purchaseable downloadable Llamas music (US only):

Currently it looks like only Retrospective Rarities & Instrumentals, Snowbug and Can Cladders are available thru the US iTunes Store.

Amazon's US store has Retrospective and Snowbug only.

eMusic has more Llamas titles available, but no Beet Maize & Corn, strangely.

Drag City has Can Cladders available for download, but none of the other DC-released titles.

well, I  found a good price on the vinyl and I know it will hold it's value.

I just wanted to download a few of my fave songs onto the computer, that's all.  I don't want to buy another cd.  I lost my BMC cd long ago, tragically.

It does seem strange that it's not available.

I'll figure something out.  Thanks for the suggestions.

I received my cd yesterday.  The album wasn't available unfotunately.

but I really enjoy this album best.  why?  I'll tell you.

I love the chorale.  It's better.  The cadence is better and the accents are less exaggerated. It's more singy.

I love the instruments and especially the significance of the intros.  The lyrics are tangible for me.

honestly, I haven't heard all the llamas cds. but I prefer this more earthy sound.  I can really sink my teeth into it.

BRAVO BRAVO

one of my favorite cds!  I have it in my possession!  yay for me oh happy day!!

It's my favorite album of theirs too. Used to be "Gideon Gaye" for years and years, but "BM&C" has taken over. Sylvie Simmons wrote an incredible one-paragraph review of the album for MOJO magazine that surmises the austere beauty of "BM&C" perfectly. I consider it a masterpiece filled with the same kind of dandiful wonder and atmosphere as "Village Green Preservation Society," "Friends," "Louder Than Bombs" and "If You're Feeling Sinister."
